PSO holds Iftar programme

As held every year, the Pangal Students' Organisation (PSO), Manipur organised its 17th 'Iftar' programme at Lilong Higher Secondary Madrassa today.
The programme was attended by Lilong Hr Secondary Madrassa, principal Wangkhem Rameshor Singh, AMUCO president Ph Nando Luwang, PSO Manipur, president Farid Bogimayum, Trio Standard English School Keirao, founder Md Abdul Warish, PSO advisors, Kh Sirajuddin, Ajijur Pukhrimayum, Bm Zeeshan and Lilong Haoreibi Madrassa Kamar Wali Masjid, Imam Kh Moulana Riyajuddin as presidium members.
Speaking at the occasion, AMUCO president, Ph Nando Luwang stated that the bond between the Meitei and Meitei Pangal communities in Manipur is an unbreakable bond which shares a long standing history of integration and cultural practices.
He also appealed to the people not to let themselves be misguided or misled by the provocative remarks made by some individuals in the social media but instead stand together in bringing peace and harmony in Manipur.
PSO president, Farid Bogimayum stated that PSO has been organising the Iftar party since its formation in 2008 .
He stated that the ongoing violence in the State has left many in despair.
Despite the Government being unable to solve the present crisis in the State, the recent imposition of the President's Rule in the State has added more woes to the people.
He further urged the Indian Government to contain the violence in the State by finding an amicable solution so that the IDPs staying at the relief camps could be returned to their original homes.
Stating that exercising the delimitation process in the turmoil State of Manipur could only lead to more violence, he urged the Government of India to exercise the delimitation after proper census.
