Chief Minister O Ibobi who is also in charge of Tourism Department has stated that the State Government is currently drawing up the Manipur Tourism Policy 2013 .
Replying to a query put up by MLA RK Imo in the State Assembly today, Ibobi expressed his expectation for development of important areas related with World War II as tourist spots.
He also informed the House about the application of 12 mobile service providers for uninterrupted power supply to 425 mobile towers operating in the State.
Replying to a question of Kh Joykishan, Ibobi clarified that the State Government has so far not considered any move to take over or develop Mapari Ningshingkol built in memory of Dr Th Kishan, Y Token and A Rajen who were abducted and murdered by NSCN-IM.
Nevertheless, the Government would check the points of the MoU signed after their death, he added.
Necessary work order for construction of a nursing school at Chandel has been already issued, stated Health Minister Phungzathang Tonsing in response to a query raised by MLA Nunglung Victor.
There are three lakes in Thoubal district where people can fish.
As these lakes are under Revenue Department, Fishery Department cannot fix any period for fishing in these lakes, stated Fishery Minister Md Nashir Khan in response to P Brojen.
