Heikham Dingo visits Kangchup Relief Camp

Sekmai Assembly Constituency MLA Heikham Dingo Singh visited Kangchup Chingkong Relief Camp today and took stock of various glaring needs of the IDPs.
He also met with people whose names were taken off the relief inmates' list.
Speaking in this connection, Heikham Dingo said that in Imphal West district, Sekmai AC has suffered the most devastation in the ongoing conflict.
Stating that he is looking at measures that can be undertaken for the benefit of displaced folks staying at Kangchup, he assured to mount pressure on relevant officials to start rebuilding the houses damaged in the conflict to facilitate the return of IDPs.
MLA Dingo said that he is in touch with Imphal West Deputy Commissioner in this connection.
Additionally, he stressed on the need to set up many outposts from Tairenpokpi to Kanglatongbi in order to restore normalcy in Sekmai AC .
"For now, setting up an outpost at Kangchup is of the highest priority and a proposal will be sent in this regard" he added.
Saying that a semblance of calm has returned in Sekmai Assembly Constituency to an extent, the MLA further informed that efforts are underway to establish an Ayush Dispensary to offer healthcare facilities to the people of Kangchup and its surrounding areas.
MLA Heikham Dingo was accompanied by OC, Lamsang police station and CRPF officials during the visit.
