The Maibakhul Development Committee, Maibakhul Union Club and Yaipha Nupi Lup Maibakhul jointly organised a felicitation ceremony in honour of Renubala Loitongbam who successfully cleared the NEET Examination 2022-23 .
According to a statement issued by M Suranjoy Singh, president, Maibakhul Union Club, the felicitation programme was held at Maibakhul community hall today with Dr Thaodem Tomcha Singh, former HOD Radio Therapy RIMS and Senior Consultant, Radiator Oncology, American Oncology, Institute of Babina Speciality Hospital, Imphal as the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Th Tomcha Singh assured to assist Renubala with the tuition costs and equipment needs.
It may be noted that Renubala is the daughter of L Ranjit Meetei and L (O) Senjam Pramot Leima.
The organising committee and family of the young achiever has expressed their gratitude towards Dr Th Tomcha Singh for his act of generosity.
Separately, the All Tulihal United Clubs Organisation (ATUCO) Yairipok also feted meritorious students and achievers in different fields at Tulihal Multipurpose Hall today.
The felicitation ceremony was attended by Kongbam Ongbi Inaocha Devi, Member, 6-Tulihal Zilla Parishad as the chief guest; Md Nayajufdin Syed, president, ATUCO as the functional president and Ph Nando Luwang, president, AMUCO; Alhaj Moulana Muheiyuddin, Convenor, United Meitei Pangal Committee Manipur; Md Riyajuddin Shah, OC In-charge, Andro Police Station; Th Manihal Singh, Pradhan, Angtha Gram Panchayat; Madina, former Pradhan, Tulihal Gram Panchayat; social workers K Sobha, N Deven, Md Habibur Rahaman, Md Abdul Kalam, Md Najir Ahamed, retd teacher Alhaj Jahuruddin and Manipur Police ASI Nongsaibam Riyajuddin Shah as guests of honour.
People felicitated during the ceremony include, Noor Kamal Sheikh, who successfully cleared the 2016-22 MPSC exam as MPS, students who qualified NEET UG 2023, students who secured positions in the Class X and XII examinations, sportspersons etc.
They were presented with a shawl, trophy, certificate and memento.
As a part of the programme prayers were also offered for three deceased members of ATUCO, namely, retd teacher Alhaj Abdul Helim, former SI of Manipur Police Mynam Sabir Ahamed and retd SI Komolmayum Kayamuddin.
Later, Dr Md Raheijuddin Sheikh, principal, Moirang College and Md Raees Ahamed, Chairman and Managing Director, Manipur Creative School Imphal conducted a career counselling program for the students.
