Imphal, May 30 2016 :
JD-U Manipur unit has categorically stated that BJP Manipur Pradesh should not take advantage of the State's prevailing law and order situation and refrain from doing anything which may bring President's Rule in the State.
Speaking at a flag hoisting ceremony of JD-U candidate in IMC Ward no 7 RK Ibungosana today, JD-U State unit president M Tombi stated that all the people of Manipur abhor President's Rule.
There is a stable Government in the State but no good governance.
Alleging that the incumbent Government is not adept at governance, Tombi questioned the fate of the three Bills passed by the Manipur Legislative Assembly on August 31 last year for protection of indigenous people.
Rather than pursuing the three Bills, the State Government has been arresting a number of agitating students and this would never resolve the issue.
He also demanded immediate release of all the arrested students.
Stating that the IMC election is very significant one, Tombi appealed to all the electorate to elect the most competent and sincere candidates.
He urged the voters not to surrender their voting rights in exchange of money.
Like Tombi, RK Ibungosana too sought support of the masses so that he can serve the public sincerely and transparently.
