Thoubal, April 26 2025: The first "Ching-Tam Sajibu Cheiraoba Khudol Tamba," a gift exchange programme between the hill and the valley people in connection with Cheiraoba festival, was organised by Heirok Apunba Meira Paibi at Ikop Ningthou Lai Haraobung, Heirok Part-II Bazar on Saturday.

Village chiefs and representatives of Karongthel, Wabaching, Thamlai, Heinoumakhong, Konaitong, Thabikeithel, Paringtong and Machi villages in Tengnoupal district attended the programme and also showcased vibrant cultural events.

Heirok Zilla Parishad administrative committee member M Rajmani, Heirok Apunba Meira Paibi advisor Th Gunamni Leima, Heirok Part-1 GP chairperson L Khamba, Part-2 GP chairperson Th Premjit, Part-3 GP chairperson A Jugindro, Social Worker Th Sanathoi; and Thoubal and Kakching District Apunba Lup (TAKDAL) chairman Y Bheighachandra among other representatives of various CSOs attended the programme as dignitaries.

Speaking at the programme, Heirok Apunba Meira Paibi convenor Th Sandhyarani highlighted that the Saturday programme aimed to strengthen the bond between the people of the hills and the valley, urging unity in facing external aggressions together.
