Imphal, July 03 2010:
The Association of DPC Successful Candidates for Primary Teachers/HMT/HGT, 2006, Manipur has warned of launching a series of democratic agitation over the demand for issuing appointment orders to the candidates whose names are in the list prepared by the DPC chairman and members in accordance to a conveyed order of the Government.
Addressing a press conference in this connection at Manipur Press Club here today, general secretary of the Association Okram Dhabali recalled that the written test for recruitment of 1500 primary teachers under the Education Department of the State Government had been conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur in 2006 and the candidates who cleared the written test have faced the DPC in 2009 .
However, after withholding the declaration of DPC results for a long time, news was spread about the announcement of the result on April 22 this year.
Accordingly, candidates who are eagerly waiting for the declaration of the results flocked to the office of the Directorate of Education (S) at Lamphelpat.
But the no DPC results were put up on the notice board., Dhabali said.
Even the candidates are eagerly waiting for the declaration of the results, a selection list prepared by the DPC Chairman and other members in accordance to a conveyed order of the Government came up.
So the Government should issue appointment orders to all the candidates who have been included in the list within July 7, he demanded.
In case the Govt fails to implement this demand and tries to revoke its conveyed order, then the aggrieved candidates are prepared to launch a series of democratic agitations, Dhabali announced, adding that a memorandum in this regard would also be submitted to the Chief Minister.
