Police arrest UG cadres

Imphal, April 25 2025: One cadre of RPF/PLA identified as Laiphrakpam Sanatomba Meitei alias Puremba (32) of Langthabal Lep Makha Leikai, Imphal West was arrested by police from Paobitek Lamkhai, Imphal West under Wangoi police station on April 24 .

Another cadre of RPF/PLA identified as Phuritsabam Sunil Singh alias Negro alias Jackson (39) of Leimakhong Chingmang, Imphal West, presently staying at Mandop Yumpham Relief Camp, Khurkhul was arrested by security forces from Khonghampat near Orchid Farm, Imphal West district on April 24, said a press release issued by the Police Control Room.

Two cadres of KCP (City Meitei) identified as Yaikhom Kiran Meitei (28) of Phaknung Sangomshang, Imphal East and Nongthombam Ratan Singh alias Tombi alias Lakpa (48) of Phaknung Awang Leikai were arrested from Phaknung Sangomsang and Sawombung Kabui Khunjao respectively on April 24 .

Security forces also apprehended one cadre of KCP(PWG) from a farmhouse located at Cheksabi Pat, Imphal East under Irilbung police station on April 24 .

The arrested KCP(PWG) cadre has been identified as Takhellambam Premkumar Singh alias Inao alias Budha (47) of Thiyam Konjin Samanching Leikai, Imphal East.

Further, three cadres of the Pambei-led UNLF were arrested by police from RIMS Hospital near the gate of Jubilee Hall on April 24 .

They have been identified as Heisnam Thomas Singh (29) of Mayang Imphal Kokchai, Arambam Tomtom alias Thawailakpa (29) of Lamsang Heibongpokpi Mayai Leikai and Ningombam Manao Meitei alias Thouyangba (44) of Kongba Laishram Leikai.
