NSUD organises mega blood donation camp for NE patients

With an objective to ensure availability of blood to patients from NorthEast admitted in various hospitals across Delhi � NCR they frequently go for treatment, a mega voluntary blood donation camp was held yesterday.
The mega blood donation camp was organized by Naga Students' Union Delhi (NSUD) in collaboration with Special Police Unit for North East Region (SPUNER), AIIMS, BLK Max Super Speciality Hospital and Sri Ganga Ram Hospital.
The Blood Donation camp was conducted at three different sites: (1) Community Centre Police Colony, Hauz Khas (2) BLK Max Super Speciality, Rajendra Place and (3) Sri Ganga Ram Hospital, Old Rajinder Nagar.
Volunteers and medical professionals were present at the sites to facilitate the blood donation.
The camp saw a huge participation from members of 20 Naga tribes under the banner of NSUD as well as individuals from other communities.
All necessary arrangements were made by the Union, SPUNER in collaboration with hospitals to ensure the comfort and well-being of the donors, including a resting area and refreshments.
Dr Lorho S Pfoze, MP, Outer Manipur and Chief Advisor to NSUD, Ramnganing Muivah MLA; Wennyei Konyak, JRC, Nagaland House, New Delhi; Dr Hentok Phom, Joint Director, Health and Family Welfare Department; P N Khrimey, IPS Jt CP SPUNER & SPUWAC, SPUNER Team, NSUD Advisory Board and Former NSUD leaders graced the event at different sites.
While thanking the donors, volunteers and collaborators, NSUD informed that more than 100 donors participated in the blood donation camp.
