Committee extends aid to bereaved family members

Committee for Peace and Social Harmony, Kakching provided monetary aid to the bereaved family members of three victims of Leithao killing on December 4 and shared their pain and loss.
A team of the Committee for Peace and Social Harmony, Kakching visited the residences of Shougaijam Krishnakanta at Kakching Turel Wangma Ningthou Pareng, Pheiroijam Malemnganba at Kakching Irengband and Laishram Sanathoi at Sekmaijing Khoidum Makha Leikai and shared the condolences.
The committee provided monetary aid of Rs 5000 each to the family members as humanitarian aid amid this grim phase.
Strongly condemning the horrendous act of the killing of 13 unarmed individuals, the committee termed it as really unfortunate.
As a mark of honour to the 13 departed souls, the committee members observed two minute silence and prayed that the departed souls may rest in peace at the Heavenly abode.
Expressing dismay over the Government's failure to resolve the communal crisis in the State which has been going on since May this year, the committee maintained that it will lead to serious outcomes which will be beyond control.
The committee further called for collective efforts from civil society organizations, Meira Paibis and all sections of the people to ensure that such incidents like Leithao do not recur.
