Thoubal, January 28 2026:
Denying the November 26, 2025 incident wherein his security escorts allegedly thrashed a G-5 member, Thokchom Jadumani has appealed the outfits to withdraw the indefinite ban on Sorojini Oil Pump located near Wangbal Canal.
Jadumani is the proprietor of the oil pump.
He has also contested election from Khangabok Assembly Constituency twice.
Speaking to the media at a press briefing at Sorojini Oil Pump today, Jadumani denied the assertions made in a FaceBook post which claimed that the proprietor's security escorts thrashed the G-5 member who was sent to talk with him.
He also rejected other allegations in the post which said the G-5 member snatched a weapon from one of the escorts and hijacked a Gypsy.
None of these incidents happened on November 26, 2025, he said.
On the contrary, Jadumani clarified that he left home at 9 am for a flight to Delhi on the same day.
After seeing the post on FaceBook uploaded on the night of November 26, he spoke to his security escorts and cleared up the matter by issuing a clarification on social media.
Additionally, as the post was circulated widely on social media, the 3rd IRB sent an officer to check if the IRB personnel suffered any injuries and to verify the claims.
According to Thokchom Jadumani, the IRB officer noted in his "visiting report" that no altercation, snatching of weapon or hijacking of vehicle occurred on the day and the IRB personnel were also found to have discharged their duties diligently.
As such, the proprietor has requested the G-5 outfits to review the situation once again and withdraw the indefinite ban on Sorojini Oil Pump.
