Senapati, April 22 2025: Ngamju ( Kahme) Village Authority Council has written representation to the Governor Manipur Ajay Kumar Bhalla through the Deputy Commissioner Senapati for his urgent intervention to let the 25 BRTF/84RCC expedite the incomplete Senapati � Phaibung road construction on April 22 .

The representation was signed by S Eliyah Paoraih, general secretary Ngamju (Kahme) Village Authority Council and PP Gideon, chairman Ngamju ( Kahme) village authority council.

The village authority appealed to the Governor to intervene and revive the neglected Senapati � Phaibung road as abandoned by the 25 BRTF/84RCC .

The council informed that Senapati to Phaibung road was a special developmental package sanctioned in 2001 under the Prime Minister for the most backward regions between Senapati and Ukhrul districts with the funding pattern of 90% by the Central and 10% by the State Government."The developmental package has been freezed for the past two decades without any repairing nor formation cutting being completed by the work agency till date, said the Council.

The road connects NH-2 at TNK Senapati village in the south and joins with the Tadubi �Ukhrul road at Phaibung Khullen village spanning 128.90kms .

"Unfortunately not even a formation cutting has been done at Ngamju village for a stretch of about 1km till today.

At the same time, Bailey bridges constructed over Iril river and Voree river at Ngamju village are at risk as no maintenance was done" claimed the council.
