Thoubal, March 22 2025: GI sheets were distributed to families whose homes were damaged by recent pre-monsoon rains accompanied by hailstorms, thunderstorms and strong winds at Kakmayai, Ningel, Pitra and Leirongthel villages under Heirok Assembly Constituency.

The aid initiative was carried out under the supervision of Heirok AC MLA Dr Thokchom Radheshyam.

Speaking in this connection, Thokchom Chourjit, president, BJP Heirok Mandal, said that 23 households were significantly affected by the hailstorm, with Kakmayai village suffering the most devastation.

Dr Thokchom Radheshyam's spouse Thokchom Ongbi Bidyaluxmi, BJP Heirok Mandal secretary, BJYM Heirok president and members were also present at the GI sheet distribution.
