Imphal, April 16 2025: An appeal application has been filed before the First Appellate Authority upon the failure of the State Public Information Officer (SPIO) to furnish requested information within a period of 30 (thirty) days time frame as specified in the Right to Information Act, 2005.Notably, on March 7, the applicant, Titus Kamei, submitted an application under Section 6(1) of the RTI Act, 2005, containing 11 queries requesting the SPIO in the Office of the Commissioner, Land Resources (Revenue) Department to furnish certain information in authenticated and certified copies pertaining to re-organisation of district boundaries between Tamenglong and Jiribam.

The Office of the SPIO had failed to furnish the requested information within the stipulated 30 days time frame.
