Thoubal, April 16 2025: A one day awareness cum sensitization programme for school teachers of Kakching district on "Juvenile Justice System Overview" and "Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006" was held today at Kakching Wairi Kongoi Community Hall.

The programme was organised by District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) Kakching in collaboration with District Administration Kakching .

During the programme, Child Welfare Committee Kakching, chairperson Kumari Naorem stressed on the topic of "Juvenile Justice System Overview" while DCPU Kakching, Legal cum Probation Officer, M Robindro spoke on the topic "Child Marriage Act, 2006" as resource persons.

Altogether 58 school teachers from Kakching, Pallel, Sora and other areas participated in the awareness cum sensitization programme.

Later, a poster campaign was also held at Kakching Wairi Kongoi Bazar area related to the Juvenile Justice System and Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006 .
