Workshop on techniques for answer script evaluation held

A 1-day workshop on "Techniques for Answer Script Evaluation" was held today at Liberal College, Luwangsangbam.
The workshop was jointly organised by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Department of Philosophy, Liberal College.
Liberal College Principal, Prof N Sanjoy Singh; IQAC Coordinator, Dr RK Brajananda; DMCTE's Associate Professor Kh Dineshkumar Singh and Dr A Dhaneshwari Devi attended the workshop as resource persons.
At the workshop, the resource persons stressed on the importance of having good quality questions in exam papers to ensure that the intended knowledge, understanding and skills are assessed.
Pointing out that question papers should be framed in a clear, easily understandable language and without any vagueness, they maintained that it is essential for teachers to have a very good understanding of the syllabus and curriculum.
The resource persons also appealed to all the evaluators to be extra cautious and evaluate the answer papers properly to avoid any form of complaints or discrepancies.
Meanwhile, a sensitization programme was conducted today at Dharmalaya Hall, Bhramapur Nahabam, to raise awareness and provide information about various schemes and initiatives taken up by the Office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) .
The programme was organised by the Handicrafts Service Centre, Development Commissioner (Handicraft), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.
Speaking on the occasion, Mutum Sanjeev Kumar Singh, Senior Assistant Director, Handicrafts Service Centre, said that the programme was organised to provide information about various schemes and initiatives designed to support the handicrafts sector and artisans.
He encouraged the artisans to take pride in their professional work with devotion to promote the handloom and handicraft items of Manipur in the global market.
He also appealed to all artisans to take the benefits of different schemes initiated by the Government.
As part of the event, a Get Together of shilp guru, national awardee and artisans was also held.
Stalls were also opened showcasing local handloom & handicraft products.
