All community leaders of Moreh, represented by the working committee of Meetei Council, Moreh (MCM), the Hill Tribal Council (HTC), Moreh, The Manipuri Muslim Council, Moreh (MMCM), the Tamil Sangam, Moreh, communities of Marwari, Gorkha, Punjabi, Bihari, etc.
All Community Development Organisation, Moreh (ACODOM) and the Merchant Association, Moreh have jointly resolved at a meeting to condemn the inhuman attitude of a group of people intimating the non-Manipuris to leave Manipur.
A press release of the all communities stated that "We are first Indians.
The true spirit of democracy has been violated.
The constitution of India protects the rights of its citizens.
Therefore, it is our duty to protect each other irrespective of caste and creed.
In deep concern for the Manipuris residing outside Manipur, the members present at the meeting stressed importance on peaceful coexistence." The all community leaders earnestly requested the people concerned on the issue of drive against the non-Manipuris to leave Manipur to rethink and reason out with clear conscience to come up with a peaceful solution to the problem.
They also urged the concerned groups to withdraw the order for the non-Manipuris to leave Manipur.
