Today's special drive was carried out to check whether distributors have supplied these goods at the revised GST rates to the wholesalers, he said.
On checking some distributors and wholesalers, many goods were found printed with two MRPs - old MRP and new MRP.
Checking the tax invoice revealed that the distributors and wholesalers have been selling goods at the reduced rates, Indrakumar said.
He then appealed to all retailers to sell goods at the reduced rates at their respective localities.
The MRPs printed on the packages are old ones and they will be there till March next year.
New MRPs will be printed on all packages from March 1 next year, he said.
