Imphal, December 09: The proscribed PREPAK has refuted any connection whatsoever between the outfit and Yumkham Naobi alias Tombi alias Dhanaraj (22) s/o Y Sing Kumar of Khurai Lairikyengbam Leikai Salan Leirak arrested by Imphal West commandos yesterday.

A press release issued by PREPAK Department of Publicity and Propaganda spokesperson Tiger alleged that Naobi was arrested after his father was picked up first.

Stating that it has been a continuing practice of Manipur Police to heap false charges against innocent persons after arresting them, Tiger alleged that Manipur Police have been scheming time and again to defame the outfit.

He also appealed to the public not to take the words of police.

Such false and malicious propaganda has been a part of counter-insurgency operations, he asserted.

Further, flatly rejecting the clarification made by Imphal West SP Clay Khongsai, Tiger reiterated that Sanatomba was killed in cold blood in a fake encounter just for a certain amount of money.
