Imphal, May 23: Conveying deep shock and anguish over the recent senseless killings among Naga armed cadres, the Zeliangrong Elders' Forum of Peace Brokers has appealed to all the Naga UG cadres to maintain credibility, integrity and peace in this critical period of the Naga history.

A press release issued by the Forum exhorted the Naga rebels to depict the Nagas as noble and peaceful patriots but not as heartless brutes and barbarous killers.

It further appealed to all under ground factions to stop killing and come together and fight for the 'national issue' remembering that killing among Naga brethren is not expected of the Naga UG cadres and that this is against the teaching of Lord Jesus Christ.

Observing that revenge has no place in Christian faith and practice, it asserted that the law of love should prevail against the revolutionary theories.

The forum also extended condolence to the families of the victims of factional killings.
