Imphal, December 19: From its blood bank, Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal has provided 47 bottles of blood free of cost to the seriously wounded victims of the Pourabi bomb blast admitted to the Casualty ward of the medical institute.

According to a statement issued by media advisor of RIMS, the blood had been donated by the volunteers of the All Manipur Anti Drug Association (AMADA).

Had it not been for the generous blood donation perhaps the RIMS would not have been able to provide the much needed life saving blood to the injured persons, the media advisor of the RIMS said, while expressing gratitude to the volunteers of the AMADA for the generous blood donation.

The RIMS authority has also appealed to all NGOs, voluntary organisations and members of public to donate blood generously to save precious lives.
