Imphal, July 08: Expressing deep concern over the stand adopted by the KYKL and UNLF on the SPO issue at Heirok, the KCP (MC) has today urged the two outfits to relax their stand and not target innocent people and students.

In a statement, the central security council of the outfit said that as long as the people of Heirok and Chajing do not go against the armed struggle and are only concerned about protecting their rights, it would support them.

Taking the plight of the daily wage labourers as well as the students community and the revolutionary movement into consideration, the outfit urged KYKL and UNLF to reconsider their stand.

The statement added that it has not directed its cadres to hit out at the people of Heirok and Chajing.
