JAC formed as man goes missing since March 4

Bishnupur, March 07 2024: Demanding immediate tracing of one Okram Khomei (65) of Shantipur, who went missing on March 4, a sit in protest was staged at Ningthoukhong Bazar on Wednesday and a joint action committee (JAC) formed in this regard.

According to Khomei's family, CCTV footage of SBI located at Loktak Project showed Khomei heading towards Leimatak side with his mobile phone, when contacted, put on switch off mode, consequently leading to filing a missing person report at Loktak police station.

As such the JAC formed in connection with the case decided to demand authorities concerned to act swiftly, trace and hand over Khomei to his family and to submit memorandum to chief minister, local MLA Govindas Konthoujam, DC and SP .
