Tangkhul leaders' fasting prayer summit concludes at Ukhrul

Ukhrul, September 19 2019: The two-day Tangkhul leaders' fasting prayer summit concluded Thursday at UBC Church Phungreitang, Ukhrul.

Christian leaders irrespective of their denominations, politicians, headmen and social organizations leaders participated in the prayer summit.

Religious leaders of different denomination of the Tangkhul community, CSO leaders delivered speeches on how to bring unity and strengthen the inter relationship of all Churches in the Tangkhul region in order to pave forward the feeling of oneness and unity of all Tangkhul community living in the district and beyond border.

They shared experiences and worked together to progress, forget and forgive one another to build Tangkhul strong.

The Church leaders also fasted for early Indo-Naga political solution, seeking divine intervention of the Almighty God of his 'amazing grace to the Naga struggle for self determination' .

The fasting prayer summit also reaffirmed the earlier Tangkhul prayer conference of 2017 .

It was agreed upon to continue the prayer programme by conducting chain prayer system area-wise till 2020 .

A public procession was held to show commitment and mark of unity and solidarity.

They march from UBC Church holding banner that read "Unity through Repentance & Love, We Pray for Tangkhul Unity, We pray Naga Unity and We pray for Indo-Naga peace talk" .
