AR conducts interaction programme with NSG rugby players

Imphal, December 18 2018:
Keithelmanbi Battalion of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) organised a motivational interaction today at Keithelmanbi garrison with the players participating in the upcoming 64th National School Rugby Championship scheduled at Bhubaneswar.
The event was attended by a total of 36 players including boys and girls of Under-19, Under-17 and Under-14 of the State Rugby Team along with the officials of Manipur Rugby Association, Mr Rameshor (Secretary), Mr Santi Kumar (Chief Coach), Mr Dev Kumar (Manager) and Mr Nando (Associate Professor, DM University).
The team also include seven players from Assam Rifle Public School (ARPS), Keithelmanbi.
The event was organised to appreciate the hard work, grit and determination shown by the players for their selection into the State team.
The players were further motivated by the Commandant of Keithelmanbi Battalion to perform well in the upcoming Championship, said a statement of IGAR (S).
The Battalion also distributed T-shirts, caps, rugby balls and other sports equipment to the players as a token of best wishes.
The officials of the State Manipur Rugby Association and the players appreciated the efforts undertaken by the Assam Rifles to encourage the budding talent in the State and expressed their heartfelt gratitude for organising the motivational event.
The event was concluded with the best wishes from all the teachers, staff, faculty and students of Assam Rifles Public School (ARPS), Keithelmanbi, followed by the refreshments for all attendees.
