Imphal, December 18 2018:
The All Lilong Anti Drug Association (ALADA) has come out strongly against the alleged attempt by some people to tarnish the reputation of the association and spreading false rumours about the association's drive against drug abuse in Lilong and its surrounding areas.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, ALADA publicity secretary Kh Liyakat Ali said that yesterday, a Facebook post was made from one account under the name Jishanur which made several baseless accusations/allegations against the association and its volunteers.
Claiming that the said post has tarnished the image and reputation of ALADA and its members, Liyakat Ali said that such posts will pose a hindrance in the fight against drug and substance abuse.
He claimed that ever since ALADA was established in August last year, the association has collaborated with the people on various drives in many parts of Lilong.
Demanding the allegations made by the post and the involved individual to come out with proofs and facts for supporting the allegations before December 20, he said that if the involved individual fails to do so, ALADA will take legal actions.
A complaint has also been lodged at Lilong PS, he added.
