Senior Women's Football League : MPSC hold KRYPHSAto extend unbeaten run

MPSC continued to remain on top of the tally of the ongoing 9th AMFA Senior Women's Football League for BM Singh Trophy 2018 organised under the aegis of All Manipur Football Association at Football Turf Ground, Khuman Lampak.
The second match of the day witnessed YWC, Langthabal edge past KRYPHSA, Naoremthong by 2-l goals.
MPSC played out a 2-2 draw in a very competitive match with ESU, Wangkhei today to remain undefeated in this league tournament while ESU's Ranjibala was adjudged footballer of the match.
MPSC started the game on bright note with Ng Bala scoring the first goal off a penalty kick awarded to them in the 11th minute while S Pramodini doubled their lead in the 26th minute.
Embarassed with the two goal deficit ESU shifted their approach and pour more players into MPSC's half in search of their first goal and it was in the 29th minute that W Ranjibala reduced the gap and make it 1-2 at the end of first half.
MPSC pressed ESU hard to extend their lead after the break also but the narrative changed quick as ESU replied back positively capitalising on MPSC's defensive lapses and it was in the 50th minute that W Ranjibala converted another spot kick of the match to draw level.
Despite attempts from both ends to slot in the winner in the latter part, the game ended in a 2-2 draw.
E Panthoi and W Ranjibala of ESU were yellow carded in the 10th and the 12th minute of the game while MPSC's A Roja had the same fate in the 15th minute.
Elsewhere, YWC, Langthabal were able to earn second win of the league tournament to push KRYPHSA to the bottom spot.
YWC who were struggling at the bottom spot got off to a slow start taking a 1-0 lead in the first half, thanks to a goal by H Daya in the 17th minute.
YWC continued their fine form in the second half as well though KRYPHSA toiled hard to level the score and it was in the 56th minute that S Lynda doubled their advantage before Dangmei Grace of KRYPHSA pulled back a goal in the 63rd minute and make it 1-2 .
KRYPHSA made the most of the possession in the latter part of the match but could hardly trouble the YWC defence line and eventually the game ended 2-1 in favour of the Langthabal side.
S Lynda Kom was latter adjudged footballer of this match.
ESU, Wangkhei will meet YWC, Langthabal in the next match on December 18 at 9 am while MPSC will take on KRYPHSA in the last match at 2 pm .
