YDO survives, ESU to relegate from league

After winning today's first match, YDO, Kwakeithel Heinoukhongnembi survive relegation from the Manipur State League.
On the other hand, ESU, Wangkhei will be relegated from the league as the team is in the 11th place in the point tally.
AIFA, Irengban had already been scratched from the league since they failed to turn up at the match venue at scheduled time consecutively.
The All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) is organizing the 5th Manipur State Legaue under the Vision India Project of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium, Imphal.
In the first match today, YDO beat MPSC 2-1 and save their ouster from the league.
On the other hand, MPSC who were targeting the runners up's title had to leave the field with a heavy heart.
However it is still not certain that which team will win the title of runners up in the league as NISA who is in the third place has one match to play which is scheduled tomorrow.
If NISA win tomorrow's match, then NISA will be lifting the runners up's trophy.
If they do not win tomorrow's match, then MPSC will be holding the trophy.
In the first match, W Nillakanta drew the first blood in the 9th minute of the match against MPSC.
However the score was equalized by Henry Kangbak in the 42nd minute.
Y Dipak scored the second goal of YDO in the 46th minute of the match by heading a corner kick by his teammate N Joykumar.
MPSC could not equalize the score and lost the match.
The second match was won by USA, Khurai after defeating TRUGPU, Nambol 4-1.Y Sobha of USA scored two goals against TRUGPU in the 9th and 19th minutes.
Khongkhsen Haokip and O Sunan scored one goal each in the 17th and 74th minutes of the match.
The lone goal of TRUGPU was scored by M Sudhiranjan in the 78th minute of the match.
