Imphal, February 01, 2011:
The Pangal Students' Organisation, Manipur (PSO) in a drive found that only one doctor and 10 staff members are attending the Community Health Centre, Lilong Haoreibi in Thoubal District which has a sanctioned strength of 48 staff members.
Surprisingly, the 11 member staff come to CHC around 12 noon and go back at 1 pm.
The health centre does not have a single bed while it should be having 50 beds as per the guidelines of the government.
Drawing attention to the matter, PSO has appealed to the state government and concerned department to take appropriate action against the staff of the health centre who are neglecting their duties.
