Saran Singh struck from a spot
kick as NEROCA FC secured a
slender 1-0 victory over 10-man
LoneStar Kashmir FC in the 2nd
division I-league today at

deadlock in the 83rd minute to
hand NEROCA FC a win
against LoneStar Kashmir FC
from six exchanges as they
remained perched on top of
the league table with 14
points, just a point ahead of S
Samiti.

placed at the bottom of the
league table with 3 points.
The all-important move
came after LoneStar Kashmir
FC defender Lancine
Toure's hand came into
contact with the ball while
trying to stop NEROCA's
striker Felix Odili Chidi
who lost no time in
collecting a ricocheted ball
off Kashmir's goalkeeper
Harpreet Singh in an intense
second half.
The Kashmir custodian
palmed away a fine attempt
by NEROCA's striker Ksh
Malemnganba through a cross
from N Pritam.
Felix collected
the deflecting ball to make
another quick attempt.
In an attempt to stop the
attacker, Kashmir's defender
Toure's hand came into
contact with the ball inside
the box.
The referee was quick to
point to the penalty mark
and there was drama in
store and visitors LoneStar
Kashmir FC were reduced
to 10 players after Lancine

following a fierce protest
of the referee's decision in

time defending their citadel
against the onslaught of the
home team's forwards.
