Imphal, May 06 2017:
Following the implementation of Aadhaar linkage
system in all Government related
proceedings by the State Government, the Hill
Tribal Council, Moreh has appealed the State
Government for immediate redressal of all issues
in public interest, conveyed a joint press
release issued by vice president and general secretary
of the council.
The census operation regarding Moreh
(tribal areas) remained incomplete as more
than 500 households have been randomly left
out in the biometric enrolment for houses
even though these houses were registered
repeatedly in the NPR format process, it
stated.
The council has urged the State Government
to take immediate action in order to
include the households/individuals in the
biometric enrolment and to accept other identity
cards issued by the State Government
(other than Aadhaar card) for those left out
households during updating of job card ,
bank account opening, employment opportunities,
academic admissions, security checks
until they possess the card.
The council will resort to many forms of
agitation if their demand is not met, it added.
