Source: The Sangai Express
Imphal, May 06 2017:
The people residing in Karang island under
Thanga Gram Panchayat part I have demanded
patta to the State Government.
The place which is also known as cashless
island has 297 houses, 1859 population, and
1341 voters and only 50 people have pattas.
The Government school located in the island
is functioning regularly but the water
supply scheme has remained defunct for more
than 10 years, reports our correspondent.
The condition of the road and the electric
tower/ post are in a poor condition.
