Imphal, November 14:
Ten shops have been completely gutted in devastating fire that broke out at Sagang Bazar at about 6.30 pm of November 10, informed a press release issued by the Sagang Youth Development Organisation.
Even as the local people AR troops posted there, Kumbi police and fire tenders of Moirang Fire Service sub-station tried their best to douse the fire, it consumed ten shops before it was finally put under control.
The shops belonging to Md Abdul Latif and Md Alimuddin were being run by Md Amir, Md Abdul Haque, Md Alimuddin and Md Abdul Kalam.
It is estimated that properties worth Rs 15 lakhs were destroyed by the devastating fire.
