Following the ultimatum served by the KLA/KLO with regard to the screening of a documentary film Enam Khoko (The Mirror of Kuki Nation), the Hill Tribal Council, Moreh has today clarified that they were constrained the buy a disc of the said film following an intimation from one Timothy who asked them to buy the disc for Rs 1000 or more for the sake of the Kuki Nation.
Timothy is an authorised member of the film unit and the message was addressed to the president of the HTC, it said in a statement today.
Making its stand clear, the HTC said that since the disc has been kept as it property and added that during one occasion, a group of people watched the film, though it was not the one bought by the HTC.
The gathering requested the president of HTC to delver a speech and the president talked on the need for unity among the Kuki people, nothing more and nothing less, asserted the statement.
In compliance with the stand of the KLA/KLO the disc of the HTC is being handed over Mr Lelen, whom the organisation had sent and entrusted, said the statement.
The HTC, Moreh also appealed to all the Kuki revolutionary groups to work together in unity, shun violence against each other and refrain from doing anything that may bring shame, confusion and misunderstanding to the Kuki Nation as a whole.
