THE PROSCRIBED People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) has denied the statement of the SP of Thoubal district, clay Khongsai which had said that three activists of PREPAK had been arrested by Thoubal District Police commandos from Khangabok around 12.30 pm of January 5 and asserted that the arrested three persons were in no way related with the party.
Yaiphanganba, Thoubal District Commander of PREPAK, in a press release, stated that the three persons said to have been arrested by the Thoubal District Police Commandos, Leishangthem Kush Meetei (28), S/o L Khambi, Leishangthem Bijen (32), son of L Ibomcha and Leishangthem Kiran (25), S/O L Achou, all three residing at Thoubal Leishanghem Khong Manung have no link whatsoever with PREPAK and its Red Army.
It's the habit of the security forces to make accusations on any innocent person after arrest, Yaipha-nganba stated and appealed to the people not to believe such statements of police.
