Imphal, July 31 2015 :
Anal Students' Union, Imphal has urged the State Government to extend immediate assistance to the flood-affected people in Chandel district.
Several houses, standing agricultural crops have been submerged in water, the union said in a statement.
Stating that Chakpi river has crossed the danger level, the statement added that the only bridge of Chakpikarong in the area is on the verge of being destroyed by the flood water.
The union therefore urged the State Government to address the grievances of the people and provide necessary assistance.
