Source: The Sangai Express
Jiribam (Imphal East), July 31 2015 :
Normal life was largely affected by the 48 hours public curfew at Jiribam sub-division imposed by the JCILPS, Jiribam branch, our correspondent reports.
The streets wore a deserted look as public transportations came to a halt on the second day of the curfew today.
Shops were closed and educational institutions, Government and private offices, bank, post office and oil pumps remained shut.
Curfew supporters along with JCILPS, Jiribam branch volunteers blocked the bridge bordering Assam and Manipur paralysing vehicular movements along the route.
No untoward incident has been reported till the time of filing this report.
