Cabinet studies flood situation

Imphal, July 31 2015 :
Floods and flood like situation seen in different parts of the State on account of incessant rainfall since the past four/five days were deliberated at length at a Cabinet meeting presided by Chief Minister O Ibobi today.
Submergence of roads and break down of bridges too figured at the meeting, informed an official source.
The Cabinet meeting also agreed to extend the service period of 2000 VDF personnel by another year.
The State Cabinet gave its approval to the JNIMS Employees Service Rules.
The meeting further agreed to transform Power Department's State Load Distribution Centre into the form of a society.
