Imphal, February 17 2016:
All India Forward Bloc (AIFB), Manipur State Committee has demanded strict regulation of private schools in the State.
In a statement, AIFB said that private schools have been functioning without any common guideline due to the absence of a Government policy and law that may regulate its functioning.
Some schools charge exorbitant fees although they pay meagre salary to their staff, the statement said.
It urged the Government to introduce a Bill for the regulation of private schools during the upcoming Assembly session.
