Imphal, February 17 2016:
The Thadou-Kuki Students' Union (TKSU) has today urged to
resume the construction work at the Circuit House which re-
portedly has been halted for quite some time, reports our
correspondent.
In a statement, TKSU also demanded the district jail be
made fully functional.
The district jail which is supposed to
house criminals or those who lead a wayward life has been
utilised as army camps/cantonments.
Construction work at Circuit House was taken up under
the NEC fund.
Aborting such developmental activity mid-
way would decelerate development in the district.
The
authority concerned should resume the construction work
within 10 days, TKSU said.
The union would take the matter before the Central Vigi-
lance Department or appropriate authority concerned and
may also resort to democratic forms of agitation in case the
demands are not addressed to at the earliest.
