Education Minister appeals

Education Minister Moirangthem Okendra has
sent his best wishes to the candidates appearing in the forthcoming
class X and XII examinations and appealed to the parents not to
encourage their children/students the use of unfair means for the
future of the students.
Speaking to media persons at SSA conference hall,
Babupara, he said that he needs the help of public in the
Department initiative to produce good students and also stated
that the recruitment process of 2000 teachers under Education
department will be held in a transparent manner.
Joining the Minister in the press conference, Education
Commissioner and Board of Secondary Education Manipur
Chairman H Dileep Singh disclosed that the class X exami-
nation will have 89 centres and eight sub-centres and 36,703
candidates will be appearing the said exam.
There will be 45 flying squad and in one team, there will
be one leader and three members.
Respective DCs of the
district will lend a helping hand in the smooth conduct of the
examination and has asked for promulgation of 44 CrPC in
the vicinities of exam centres.
Council chairman AS Arthur also disclosed that there are
altogether 68 centres for the class XII examination beginning
from February 22 with a total of 27,238 candidates and in 18
centres of every district, CCTV cameras will installed on a
trial basis and if the experiment is successful, it will imple-
mented on a wider scale in the future.
