The State Government will observe Martyrs' Day at GM hall tomorrow.
A siren would be sounded from 10.59 am to 11 am as a signal to commence observing a two-minute silence, said a statement.
Another siren would be sounded from 11.02 am to 11.03 am as the closing signal.
During the two minute, all the citizens would observe silence by standing up wherever they are, the statement said.
All the vehicles along the highways and campuses would also come to a standstill.
Chief Minister Okram Ibobi and Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam would attend the main function at GM hall as chief guest and president respectively.
All the Government servants working in the offices located within Imphal Municipal area and Lamphelpat have been instructed to attend the function at 10 am.
Bhajans like 'Sumiran karle mere mana', 'Vaishnav jana tene' and 'Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram' would be sung from 10.10 am to 10.55 am, added the statement.
