Thoubal, March 24 2015:
JAC Against the Brutal Killing of Angom Ningol Soibam Ongbi Inaocha has indefinitely blocked Sugnu-Burma road to condemn the act of the concerned IO .
Post-mortem on the deceased was conducted on March 22 which was against the date set jointly by the JAC, deceased family members and Sugnu SDPO Mangi during a meeting.
Inaocha sustained burn injuries after she got into a fight with her family on January 21.She was admitted to RIMS for treatment but succumbed to injuries on March 20.A joint meeting was held where the JAC, deceased family members and Sugnu SDPO Mangi resolved to conduct the post-mortem on March 23.However, post-mortem was conducted on March 22 allegedly at the behest of the IO .
Alleging that the act of the Investigating Officer was a move to sabotage possible evidence of the cause of death, the JAC demanded that Sugnu SDPO should resign from his post for failing to keep his words.
It also demanded that post-mortem should be conducted again of the deceased so as to acquire concrete information.
