Imphal, March 24 2015:
Indian Youth Congress National Secretary Daiyan Hussain, during an interactive session with MPYCC members has stated that the BJP's land Acquisition Ordinance is against farmers and tribals in general.
The Ordinance, Daiyan Hussian alleged, was introduced in the Parliament by Prime Minister Narendra Modi only to keep his promises made to the corporates/companies of the Nation.
The Bill has no place for farmers or tribals, Hussain alleged.
It is an attempt to usurp agricultural lands from the farmers.
"IYC will continue to protest until the Bill is removed," Hussian stated.
Attacking the ruling Government, Hussain said the BJP led Government has only created unrest in the North East.
He also recalled the use of the term 'immigrant' in the BJP Delhi election manifesto with reference to people from the North East.
Hussain ridiculed the growing interest of the ruling Government and the recent visits to the State by BJP leaders as a mere ploy to generate publicity and score political mileage.
The IYC National Secretary further stated that the 2015-16 Union Budget and Railway Budget of India failed to insert special provisions for the North Eastern States.
MPYCC president Amir Hussain, general secretary Sunita Konthoujam and other members were also present at the at the press meet.
