The offices of the Director of Health Services, Manipur and Regional Director of Health ad Family Welfare, Govt of India have jointly organised a one-day State level workshop on �Sectoral collaboration in malaria and other Bacteria borne diseases� on March 28 at State Guest House here.
Speaking at the occasion, Health Minister Dr L Nandakumar Singh who inaugurated the workshop as chief guest, said malaria is more prone in the hilly regions, especially the border area of the State.
Even if the Govt has formulated plan and policy for eradication of malaria completely, lack of manpower on one hand, and poor financial condition of the State on the other hampered in carrying out these tasks successfully, he observed.
