Nungsai Village seeks Govt's attention

Nungsai Village Authority has fervently appealed the responsible authority to take up immediate measures and mitigate the plight of the villagers who had been reeling under the impact of incessant rains and cyclone since July 31 last.
In a statement, Nungsai Village Authority Chairman Kabidon Gonmei informed that the villagers of Nungsai have been living in a pathetic manner after their standing crops and fields were washed away by the overflowing water from Leimatak and Taikhongthok rivers.
The Village chairman claimed that about worth of Rs 20 lakhs properties including eleven houses of their village were damaged by the flood.
