Legal Awareness Campaign on Cyber Crime

A one-day Day Legal Awareness Campaign on Cyber Crime was held at Centenary Hall, New Lamka, Churachandpur on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Churachandpur Lunminthang Haokip said that mobile and internet connectivity have become one of the necessities of today's world.
"Being a District Administrator, I always contacted by our elected representative, MDCs, civil organization leaders etc.
24X7 round the clock to discussed important issues using these technologies.
He also stressed on the importance of following God's commandments as given in the Holy Bible and said that those who followed the commandments shall never commit crimes.
Advocate P Khamkhanthuam spoke on the Fundamental Rights and Duties while Addl SP H Balram Singh gave a talk on Police Perspective on Cyber Crime.
Pauneithang Valte CM, SBI/Churachandpur spoke on cyber crime from bank perspective and S Khaikhopau Ngaihte on Civil Administration perspective.
H Balram Singh said the India Constitution gives the citizens not only the fundamental rights and but also expected duties of the citizens.
"If we only know about the fundamental rights and negate duties, our society will be chaotic.
We should organize such legal awareness campaign more often so that we know more about law enforcing agencies and the relation between the police and public will be cordial, he added.
Many youths from various localities who attended the programme gained immense knowledge on cyber-crime.
