Doctors felicitated
Manipur Science Communicators Association (MASCA) felicitated Dr S Pravabati Devi and Dr M Thoithoi Singh on Sunday at Press Club, Imphal.
Lok Sabha MP Dr T Meinya, former vice chancellor of Manipur University Prof C Amuba and Uttam Chand Laishram were the chief guest, the president and guest of honour on the occasion.

Reception function
A reception function of 128th course passed out NDA cadets of Manipur was held on Sunday at the Khurai Konsam Leikai Maning community hall, Imphal East.
The programme was attended by Khurai AC MLA Dr Ng Bijoy Singh as the chief guest, former minister Dr M Nara Singh as the president and retired Director of Research, CAU, Dr Maibam Ruhinikumar Singh as the guest of honour.
Book releases on Thang-Ta
A book based on indigenous martial art Thang- ta written by Thang- ta teacher Sougaijam Bhaba was released on Sunday.At the releasing function which was organized by Meitei Sathup Lanthup Thang-Ta Sindamsang at Moirangkhom Sougaijam Leikai, Bhaba said thang ta is not only a martial art but also teaches discipline, behavior and helps someone in danger.
Meritorious Award at Porompat
Unemployed Youth Learner's Association has honoured meritorious students of Porompat Thawanthaba Leikai on June 21 at the community hall of the locality.
Students who have scored first division marks in the recently declared board, council and CBSE examinations were given away cash prize, including certificate and gifts.

A reception for the donors of Kanglei Enat Yokhatpa Lup, Nambol was held on June 21 at the public hall of Nambol market.
Mention may also be made that the fund collected from donors is to be utilised in providing annual pension to the aged people who have contributed their best for safeguarding native tradition and cultures.
Women group burns liquor
Women Welfare Forum Ngaikhong Siphai and Pari Imom Kanna Lup jointly seized 70 litres of country liquor.
The alcohol was later burnt in front of the public at Ngaikhong Zila Keithel says a press release from the secretary of the Forum.
