CRAU seven-a-side football final WFC-A beat RFC-B via sudden death

WFC-A, Moirangkhom defeated RFC-B, Khamnam Leirak in the sudden death to clinch the title of the 1st 7-a-side men's football tournament, organised by the Cachhar Road Athletic Union (CRAU), today.
In today's final, WFC-A, edged past RFC-B, by a margin of 9 goals to eight in the sudden death after both sides were tied 3-3 at the end of regulation time.
The score remained tied too after the penalty and sudden death was taken recourse to.
Deepak (12th) and Milan (23rd, 31st) were the scorers for RFC-B in the regulation time.
On ther other side, Piyabung, Jetlee and S Deepak scored a goal in the 8th, 26th and 57th to level score line at 3-3 .

In the penalty shoot out, WFC-A's Gyaneshwor, Bipin, Jetlee, Deepak and Rahul converted their kicks.
RFC-B also replied with 5 goals through Milan, Ngouba, Momocha, Deepak and Ashok.
With the two teams tied after the penalty kicks, sudden death came into play.
Here Bobby of WFC-A successfully converted his kick with the custodian displaying a heroic save when RFC-B's Anand took his kick.
Team champion WFC-A and runner's up RFC-B were awarded a cash prize of Rs 30,000 and 20,000 respectively.
The best disciplined team award went to YFC-B.Top scorer title was awarded to AYDC's Simeon (20 goals) .
Nano of WFC-B clinched the best goalkeeper title while RFC-B's Prem and Deepak bagged the best defender and best player titles respectively.
The closing ceremony was attended by Social Welfare and Cooperation Minister AK Mirabai Devi, social worker L Nabakishor, Model HSS Principal H Ranjit Singh, AG Senior Audit Officer A Iboton, president of MYDC and its former president Moirang Hanuba O Mangilal and Kh Rajen as chief guest, president and guests of honour.
