Imphal, May 27:
Strongly protesting against the failure of the Govt to provide compensation to the five persons who went blind after undergoing a free cataract operation at Bishenpur on on February 23, 2007, the affected family members have submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister warning that if the compensation is not paid soon, an indefinite bandh will be imposed on Tiddim line and NH-150 from June 2 .
The five persons were blinded during a free eye camp conducted by the District Blindness Control Society, Bishnupur, said the memorandum which was submitted to the Chief Minister yesterday.
